Quiet, from a Greek shore.
Stillstring began with a simple pairing. Two stones on a string, rolled slowly through the hands, swinging without hurry. Nothing to solve. Nothing to win. Just something to hold.

The name
Stillstring says exactly what it is. Stones, and a string. Nothing hidden in the name, nothing to decode. We chose it because a name, like the piece itself, should be plain and quiet and easy to hold.
Two islands
The stones come from two islands in the Ionian Sea, Kefalonia and Ithaca. Ithaca is the island Odysseus kept finding his way back to. Kefalonia is where the water shifts from glass to deep blue within a few steps of shore. Both move at the pace the stones ask of you: slowly.
FROM THE ISLAND. INTO THE EVERYDAY.Six shores
Each piece in the collection is named for a shore, and wears its color.
- Poros, marble white, the harbor where the boats rest.
- Xi, red sand, warm even at dusk.
- Assos, deep sea blue, below the castle.
- Skala, sun gold, the long south coast.
- Antisamos, olive green, under the olive groves.
- Myrtos, sea glass, a wide bay under white cliffs.
The ritual
Roll the balls through your fingers. Feel their coolness and their weight. Let the string swing slowly between your hands. There is no technique to learn and no finish line. Only your breath, and the moment you are in.
The world can wait. This moment is yours.
